Join Ghost Stories Ink at the historic Outing Lodge (formerly the Washington County Poor Farm) for a weekend of creative inspiration and learning April 29 – May 1, 2016.

Friday, April 29th 

7pm – 10pm:               Meet and greet (drinks available for purchase at the lodge).

10pm –Midnight:        FREE movie (popcorn will be served)

  • Because Ghost Stories, Inc. is all about things that are a little bit spooky, this will likely be a scary movie (yet to be determined).
  • Note: this evening is FREE to anyone who would like to socialize. The purchase of a ticket for the retreat is NOT necessary.

Saturday, April 30th

8-10am:                       Light Breakfast Served **

10am – Noon:

Writer Workshop Illustrator Workshop

Noon – 1pm:               Lunch Served **

 1pm – 3pm:                 Butt in Chair: Find a quiet place to work on your current W.I.P.

Manuscript Critiques* (first 5 pages) and Portfolio Reviews will be available during this time.

3pm – 5pm:

Writer Workshop Illustrator Workshop

5pm – 8pm:     Dinner (on your own)

8pm – 9pm:     Paranormal Investigating 101: Learn about the techniques and tools Ghost Stories, Inc. uses while performing paranormal investigations for creative inspiration.

9pm – 10pm:   Night Time Stroll to the Forgotten Pauper’s Field: Allow the darkness to heighten your senses and let your creative wheels begin to spin as you join Ghost Stories, Inc. on an evening walk to the abandoned poor farm cemetery.

10pm – 1am:   Paranormal Investigation: Let Ghost Stories, Inc. lead you through a paranormal investigation that will allow you to connect with the history of this former poor farm in a one-of-a-kind way.

Sunday, May 1st 

8am – 10am:   Light Breakfast Served **

10am – 11am: Photograph Stroll: Bring your own camera and walk through the surrounding forest of the former poor farm while capturing the beauty of the land through photos (Lead by Scott Spink, Sean Spinks and Shawn McCann)

Noon: Check Out
